Yanked

Lnet described the feeling of going home as being yanked from one place to the other. Now I understand. I feel I’ve begun to set-up a life down here, to settle in, to feel less lonely, less out of place, to start identifying this city as my city. Yet, Madison is still my home. Going back, seeing my friends and family and the places I love, was kind of like having to say good-bye all over again.

With that said, I had a wonderful, if exhausting trip. Thank you to Rosie, Pat and Lnet for offering such great accomodations.

I would have blogged on the road but SB’s laptop gave out early in the trip. Instead of trying to re-create the memories I’m going to let the photos speak.

Photos from our spring trip.
