Thank you for all the recommendations I have added To Say Nothing of the Dog and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time to my Pending list. I plan to order a book or two tonight, probably Kingsolver and .... still not sure.... The choices are all so good.

Hey there! I can't believe you read Voyager after not liking #2. I admit if you ready any of the books, the first 3 are a series in itself and you don't have to read the rest. I am still plugging through the second to last one and it's hard cause I devoured the rest of them.

Harry Potter -- just not to be a spoiler, I have to say I was disappointed. I may be the only person. And YES she needed a better editor.

As for your pending list, I haven't ready any; but I noticed you read Bel Canto (did I recommend that one?) I LOVED that book and me too, I read it over a year ago and I still think about it. It was written so wonderfully, I can't imagine another author pulling off that subject. (I think the synopsis on the back doesn't do it justice).

If you wanted to read more Sci Fi, I have recommendations: Connie Willis. I am on her 3rd book and I love her. To Say Nothing of the Dog and The Doomsday Book I highly recommend. I am reading Passage right now and while I like it less, it's still good.

Okay, I've written enough ;)

My vote goes for Cellophane. It is a beautifully written piece of fiction that you will enjoy and remember.

Thanks! I have been leaning towards the Kinsolver ever since I heard an interview with her on NPR, plus I'm a big fan of her fiction.

Go for either number 11 (Kingsolver) or Plenty by Alisa Smith and J.B. MacKinnon. To be frightfully reductive, choose the former for an Appalachian baby boomer narrative, the latter for a Vancouverian (?) X-er take on the same topics. Both include recipes.
