Meet Lola

lola

Welcome the newest member of our family, Lola. We adopted her from a local rescue organization this afternoon. She is six months old and part to mostly Australian Shepherd. Right now she’s under twenty pounds and no one knows how large she will get.

Zoe, our cat, is handling the new addition like the lady of the house that she is. There’s been a little light scolding and some pointed paw shaking, puppies are smelly. Tonight they both ate from their own dishes in the kitchen at the same time. I’m calling day one a huge success.

  2. Yay for rescue dogs! We rescued a Cocker Spaniel almost 2 years ago now and it’s really changed our lives. We would have have even more dogs by now if we had a yard, but I don’t want to walk multiple dogs on a daily basis. I kind of wish we had another dog for companionship though, sometimes I worry that Kira gets pretty lonely in our apartment during the day.

I hope you have many years of happiness with Lola!

  3. Thank you! Jeff, I remember when you got your puppy and am glad to hear she has made you so happy. We are still adjusting to life with a dog. It is a big change but one that is already bringing a lot of new joy to our home.
