Jeff, you are such a sock pusher! (Also, I was wearing the pirate hat you knit for me down at the boathouse this week. I could tell the other sailors wished they had my hat.)

Wow, that soup does sound really good. We've never had any luck with making our own lentil soup for some reason. I'm definitely going to have to stock up on squash to put into soups - I've become a huge fan of it in the past year or so.

Sock knitting is where it is at. When you're ready to knit socks, check out Blue Moon Fiber Arts - they have the BEST sock yarn on the planet.

The top photo is an Indian silver bowl from an exhibit of Indian Tea Services currently at the Chazen (LVM) . The bottom photo is a seed pod close-up from a walk at the Verona dog park yesterday. I'm really happy with my new camera!

I don't know that I'm ready to become a sock knitter. It seems like once you start knitting socks there's no going back.

Mmmmm soup. That's another great fall treat. SB just made a big pot of lentil, carrot, squash soup. So good.

I'm a big fan of fall too - I just bought a big bag of apples to make a few pies. I forgot how much I love making soups too. They're just perfect for cool blustery days like we've had this week

Great description of the season, I too am enthusiastic about and ready for fall this year, though here it is unseasonbly warm and I am still wearing sandals. What are the pictures of? And why don't you knit yourself wool socks instead of a scarf?
