Outlander

Rating: 7

Crazy Rosie made me do it. She just kept going on and on about these books, these Outlander books. She said they were part fantasy, part time travel and part romance. How could I resist? And that’s just it, this first book in the series is irresistable.

I started reading it right before we moved into our house. I carried this book back and forth between the house and the apartment with every load and any free second I had, I was reading. It drove SB crazy. “You have a problem,” he said. But I didn’t hear him, I was busy reading.

Really this book is a classy romance, dressed up with adventure. I wouldn’t say it is high art or deep and meaningful writing. It is total and complete escapism.

I don’t know that I could really recommend this book to others, but at the same time, I couldn’t wait to get into the second book, Dragonfly in Amber.

Find it on Amazon.
